This two-day class covers the basics of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and Professional. Learn how to create "good" PDF files and how to add basic enhancements.

Introducing Adobe Acrobat 9
A review of concepts and designing for onscreen presentations.

Looking at the Work Area
A quick look at the user interface and software organization.

Creating Adobe PDF files
Learn how to create a PDF from any program and how to control the file size through compression commands.

Creating Adobe PDF files from Microsoft Office Files—Windows
A look at how to create PDFs specifically from the Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.

Combining Files in PDF Portfolios
Combine PDFs from various sources into one PDF presentation.

Reading and Working with PDF Files
Learn navigation commands and examine the accessibility features for users with vision and motor impairments.

Enhancing and Editing PDF Documents
Reorganize the pages in a PDF file, add and remove pages, update the numbering, extract data for reuse.

Adding Signatures and Security
Learn how to sign and/or certify PDF documents using digital signatures and how to add security to your files.

A copy of the coursebook and the data files will be sent to you prior to the start of the class.
